Okay, so I’ve been really terrible about updating my blog, but come on. I’m in France. I have better ways to spend my time.
(Except for tonight, because I have eaten the last of the eclairs, and it is too hot out for a walk, thank you very much.)
So here’s some photos! Maaaaaany more to come. But given my track record with updating this thing, enjoy these, because it might be a while before the next installment…
My favorite photo from this weekend! I can’t believe how still this man stood with his daughter. The exposure was a few seconds long!
I have a habit of making stupid faces in front of Gerhard Richter paintings. Seriously, I’ve been doing this for like three years now.
I think this woman coordinated her colors just for this Gerhard Richter painting. :3
France! Look at you lookin’ all German here.
MINIATURE THINGS IN THE CENTRE POMPIDOU EXHIBIT ON ITALIAN ARCHITECTS. I was excited.
Dude. I didn’t have a tripod. This photo took like fifteen attempts.
Oh, hey there, Eiffel Tower. You seem to pop up everywhere I go around here… Are you following me?
HI EIFFEL TOWER HI HI HI
Just the outline. :)
Oh, Napoleon III, you are ridiculous.
I find the tourists to be just as interesting as the paintings they’re looking at.
Have you ever seen this many Asian tourists in one place? No. No, you have not.
Corot was the original emo kid. THIS PAINTING WAS SO MISUNDERSTOOD, I HAD TO PUT IT IN BLACK AND WHITE.
This painting at the Louvre by François Biard is my new favorite thing.
I mean, my god, it’s beautiful. Just LOOK at it.
LOOK AT IT I SAY
Oh my god she’s going to eat my soul.
LOOK AT THE PRETTY TREES.
Vézelay! I have pictures from inside the church, too, but I just wanted to share these trees.
Ahhh, the LIGHT!! Oh, Paris, you slay me.
Busted out the macro lens at Prieuré de Vausse! I was diggin’ these tiny white flowers.
This flower was so otherworldly! My other favorite image from this post.
CHICKENS. I very much enjoy chickens.
Loooove the Prieuré. The light was changing a lot that day. I have some more images from Châtel-Gérard on a different memory card, I’ll upload them later….
TINY. SWALLOW. BABIES. I was making quite a scene over their fat little heads sticking out of the nest. OH MY GOD.
The colors, duke, the colors!!
The arches, duke, the arches!!
Oh, French countryside. How I love gazin’ at ya.
This is Françoise’s backyard. Her grounds are AMAZING. Secret-Garden-esque, like many peoples’ backyards in Noyers.
