The Atlantic coast is just bursting with gorgeousness in the springtime. And when you have the gift of spending an evening with two amazing people who are completely head-over-heels in love, it makes for some truly incredible images.
Day After sessions are a relatively new thing, but I absolutely love them. Oftentimes, wedding days are pretty hectic–a million things happening all at once–and they go by so quickly, there isn’t really much time for the couple to simply relax and be with each other as their newly-married selves. For me, one of the greatest delights of a Day After session is watching the expressions of the couple: after all the craziness of the bustling celebration has subsided, they’re simply relaxed, happy, and deeply in love.
As you may have picked up from their wedding post, Bonnie and Eric are two of my favorite people of all time, ever. (No, seriously.) Their energy together is just pure elation, and, to my delight, they were totally down for anything! They were totally okay with (encouraging, even!) their crazy photographer who crawled on the ground, climbed trees, and shot photos while running backwards in the (slightly frigid) Atlantic Ocean. Not only did this dedicated Sunday photoventure allow us to take advantage of some amazing locations and absolutely PERFECT light (that wouldn’t otherwise have been feasible on the wedding day), it allowed Bonnie and Eric a quiet afternoon to just be. Be joyful, be in love, be in the moment with each other.
And that–more than oceans and blossoms and big blue skies–is what I truly live to capture.
(Surprise guest appearance by Bonnie’s ADORABLE nephew!!) And lastly, the pièce de résistance… be sure to click the bottom image below! You just have to see it high-resolution!!
