I love it when a shoot is conceived spontaneously–I was getting my hair styled by the amazingly talented Tara Tussing, and she mentioned that she was getting married in a few weeks. I asked if she would be interested in doing a bridal photo session after her wedding, and she absolutely was! Tara wanted to try something artistic and interesting, so I suggested my favorite photo location and a daring proposal… let’s get that dress WET!* Continue reading
Eric and Karie’s Picturesque Outdoor Starved Rock Wedding | Chicago Wedding Photographer
When Karie and I first talked, she described her unique (and challenging!) dream wedding–a nighttime ceremony in a forest in northern Illinois in the winter. I think I surprised her by responding, “Sounds awesome, let’s do it!”
What unfolded on an unseasonably warm November day was moment after moment of beauty. From the rays of sunlight reflecting off of Karie’s Mori Lee gown during her and Eric’s first look, to the epic canyons of Starved Rock State Park that the wedding party hiked to (no joke!), this was undoubtedly one of the most picturesque weddings I’ve ever captured. Continue reading
Beth and John’s Colorful Autumn Wedding at the Pinnacle Ballroom | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
This wedding is just BURSTING with pretty… I can barely contain myself! The day started out amazing with Beth’s incredible bridal details: a Maggie Sottero gown, Tiffany jewelry, and intricate bouquet by Amelia Florist. A friend of Beth’s was kind enough to arrange special entry for us into Dixie Terminal, which made for one of the most GORGEOUS first look locations I’ve ever seen. Afterward, we adventured around the Roebling Bridge, Devou Park, and the Licking River District for wedding party photos on the most beautiful fall day! Continue reading
Chris & Saki’s Pretty Plein-Air Japanese Celebration | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
What an incredible wedding! We took some photos in one of my all-time favorite locations–architectural gem Music Hall, overlooking Washington Park–and then headed to Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, where Saki and Chris tied the knot in a picturesque green field. Just before the reception under the pavilion, a terrific storm blew through, complete with rain and thunder and hail! But that certainly didn’t stop everyone from laughing and celebrating and dancing the night away.
Friends and family, don’t forget that you can see more from John and Beth’s big day, share your favorites, and order prints over at their wedding page!

Justine and Christian’s Classic Black Tie Wedding at Meson Sabika | Chicago Wedding Photographer
As soon as I met Christian, I knew he and Justine’s wedding would be a classy, stylish affair–Christian is a Chicago-based DJ who owns his own company, Mode Events, and described to me a beautiful ceremony at St. Francis with one heck of an afterparty at Meson Sabika! Continue reading
Ethan and Paige’s Intimate Mt. Airy Wedding | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
Back in February, I got to spend a fun afternoon with Ethan and Paige and their adorable dog Max getting some awesome engagement photos in the snow. While we traipsed around Ault Park in our winter boots, I got to hear about how Ethan and Paige had started planning their wedding one way, but then decided to scrap it in favor of something small, intimate, and decidedly them–an intimate outdoor ceremony and a cozy dinner, just the way they dreamed their wedding would be. Continue reading
To OTR with Love: Jenny and Keith’s Wedding at the Woodward Theater | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
When I met Jenny for brunch at Sundry & Vice to discuss her wedding, I was completely enamored with her description of the day’s events: photos with the Artworks murals around Over-the-Rhine, service at the 170-year-old First Lutheran on Race Street, a parade through the neighborhood to a reception at the newly-restored Woodward Theater, and even a late night Skyline chili bar! Continue reading
Emily and Brad’s Scenic Outdoor Wedding at Alms Park | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
It was a crisp morning with a hint of rain in the air. Emily’s bridesmaids were abuzz at the salon while the boys were laughing and joking around back at the house. An excited energy was in the air–for Emily and Brad to see each other, for everyone to gather to celebrate their love, and–finally–to dance the night away!! Continue reading
Tom and Toni’s Elegant Polish & Croatian Wedding at the Montgomery Club | Chicago Wedding Photographer
It was an absolutely perfect sunny day in Lincoln Park, and Tom and Toni were nearly bursting with excitement. Even before they saw each other, the joy on their faces was obvious. Toni and Tom are just the happiest, goofiest, and completely head-over-heels couple I’ve had the pleasure to shoot, and I could not have felt more ecstatic to capture their big day. Continue reading
